Evolution of the beer, PET and micro breweries.
Over the last 25 years the European beer market has undergone a considerable development, both in terms of products and packaging. Grows is mainly driven by central and eastern Europe, which matured and reached levels reported in the western European market and even outgrew it in some cases. Indeed large international breweries prefer these markets when they need to launch new products. Moreover, consumers in central and eastern Europe seem to be more receptive to packaging innovation as well: from 1993 to 2013 sales of beer in PET packaging rose from 3.5bn to 8.5bn hectolitres. Russia is currently the largest market for beer in PET packaging, almost half of it is packed with this material. P.E. Labellers widens its horizons and crosses its path with art, sponsoring a cultural event that will take place on 14th and 15th November in Correggio, called “ La Zingarella ritrovata”. The two-day event will discuss the fascinating painting by Antonio Allegri also called il Correggio (1489-1534), with the exotic name “La Zingarella” (The Madonna and Child with White Rabbit). On the 14th there will be a presentation of the event and Zingarella painting, painted in the sixteenth century, on display for the occasion at the Museo Agorà Coppini.
