Interpack 2014, over 175,000 visitors from around the world

Tinterpack-2014-pe-labellinghis year’s Interpack was characterised by impressive numbers: about 2,700 exhibitors and 175,000 visitors from all over the world made the atmosphere extraordinary at the most important international trade fair in the packaging sector. There were so many visitors that the event was sold-out. And those who attended knew their subject: their expertise in the subject and their tendency to invest contributed to the positive results of the event, making it possible for exhibitors to conclude real economic agreements.

Overall, the share of foreign visitors from 120 countries, close to 66%, and that of foreign exhibitors, about 75%, confirmed Interpack’s role as the worldwide trade fair leader.

Among the hot topics at the event were innovation, and resource and material efficiency – all focused on innovation. The most important topic for the media was “Save food”, an initiative designed to raise public awareness of food wastage. Representatives from FAO and UNEP, the minister and Senegalese musician Youssou N’Dour, to name just a few, participated at the second edition of the congress, which was inaugurated three years ago, showing how to fight food waste along the entire production chain, until the product reaches the consumer.

P.E. LABELLERS and Packlab were very happy with the success of this fair and plan to participate at the next edition of Interpack in 2017. The dates, though, have not yet been set.
